The RAMP Navigation Hub helps people discover, understand and navigate the NHS App with confidence, whether they choose to use a smartphone, tablet or web browser.
It brings together practical guidance, device checks, demonstrations and links to trusted NHS information.
The RAMP Navigation Hub is a community navigation resource. It is not an official NHS website.
The Hub has been developed and is maintained by Rod Willis, reflecting a long-standing interest in enabling technology.

The Hub can help you:
understand the NHS App journey and the different access routes;
choose the guidance that best matches your circumstances;
check whether a phone or tablet appears ready to install the NHS App;
identify what may be preventing you from moving forward;
find the appropriate organisation or service for further support.
The Hub and its volunteers do not:
change phone or tablet security settings;
reset passwords or Apple and Google accounts;
change parental controls or Screen Time settings;
diagnose wider device, internet, mobile-network or email problems;
access NHS accounts, health records or clinical information;
provide medical advice;
provide technical support on behalf of Apple, Google, a mobile network or another service provider.
Never share passwords, one-time security codes, linkage keys, passphrases or images of identity documents with a volunteer.
You should also avoid sharing your NHS number, detailed medical information or anything else that is not needed to understand the navigation issue.
Where possible, enter private information yourself and keep control of your own device.
The right source of support will depend on what is preventing you from continuing.
This may include:
NHS App support;
your GP practice;
Apple Support or Google Support;
your mobile-network provider;
your email provider;
a local library or community service;
a trusted family member or friend.
The Hub can help you identify the likely source of the problem and signpost you to the most appropriate support.
The guidance and demonstrations on this site have been selected to help people understand and navigate the NHS App.
Where additional information is provided, the Hub aims to signpost to official NHS sources. Device-readiness materials are intended as simple checks, not as technical repair instructions.
NHS services, digital processes and support arrangements may change over time. Always follow the latest instructions shown by the NHS App, the NHS website or your GP practice.
The source register supporting this site was prepared on 4 August 2026.
NHS links, videos and guide wording should be checked before major publication updates and reviewed periodically afterwards.
